I’ll be up front about it… I’ve never been to Mardi Gras in New Orleans. I picture revelers staying up till all hours of the night, roaming from party to party, getting senseless tattoos that they will regret in the morning, but though it all, creating an evening that will be remembered (or not) for years to come.
I feel like life, and being a femmepreneur, should be a little like Mardi Gras.
Think about it. You live your whole life with exciting opportunities swirling around you. Some are good ideas. Some aren’t.
But if you stay:
- closeted up
- afraid
- alone
- “safe”
You’ll become isolated from all those colorful, sparkly, chances at a much bigger and exciting life. The kind of life you’ve always wanted to have but were afraid wasn’t really for you, but only for those somebody else’s.
Last night was Fat Tuesday, the culmination of Mardi Gras festivities. One day, you’ll be too old or lack the emotional energy to make good on the opportunities waiting for you to seize right now.
Don’t let the party pass you by. Take a chance on something that grabs your intuition.
